Decentralisation theory and local self-government

This educational and methodological manual includes a general description of the course "Theory of Decentralization and Local Self-Government" and the organization of the educational process, which is a methodological part, which presents the main goal, objectives, assessment form and procedure, and the final results of the course. The exam questionnaire, course sources, including professional literature related to the issues under study, and the thematic plan of the program are provided. The educational part presents the curriculum of the course according to individual topics, including the content of the key issues under study. The course concerns the study of the theoretical foundations of the theory of decentralization and local self-government and its manifestations in practice, as well as the analysis of local self-government as one of the main components of public administration. The educational and methodological manual was prepared as a result of research and experimental study. It covers decentralized power and management, local self-government models, and theoretical and practical issues of the local self-government system of the Republic of Armenia.
