RA Minister of Local Government and Regional Development David Khudatyan received a delegation led by Ryan Knox, Executive Director of Salar International.
The Minister welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of the partnership with Salar International.
During the meeting, the process of local government reforms was presented, which also led to the Ministry’s interest in the “Support to Decentralization and Local Self-Government Reforms in Armenia” program.
The Minister also presented the process of decentralization of powers in Armenia.
He emphasized that communities are ready for decentralized cooperation.
Deputy Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Vardan Kostanyan presented the amendments currently being implemented in the Law on Local Government and Regional Development.
A number of other issues related to local government and decentralization reforms were discussed.
