The Hungarian city of Szekesfehervar and the community of Vagharshapat became sister cities Vagharshapat

On August 15, the Mayor of Szekesfehervar, Hungary, Andras Cer-Palkovich, and the Acting Mayor of Vagharshapat, Argishti Mekhakyan, signed a memorandum of understanding between the cities.
This cooperation opens new horizons for friendly and cooperative ties between the two cities, to transform them by creating an exchange of experience, the introduction of cultural, educational and sports programs, as well as new opportunities for economic and community development.
Within the framework of the signing of the memorandum, Argishti Mekhakyan toured the Szekesfehervar Municipality, got acquainted with the history of the structure, the developed programs and the peculiarities of community management. The visit was not only official, but also laid the foundations for the formation of new ideas and opportunities for cooperation.
After the signing of the memorandum, a festive liturgy was held in the church, dedicated to this significant event. During the liturgy, the bishops thanked and blessed those present, and his welcoming speech was special.
The acting head of the community, Argishti Mekhakyan, invited the delegation of Seykesfehérvár to visit Vagharshapat.
The connection between Seykesfehérvár and Echmiadzin is established by a signed memorandum of sister cities, which is sure for the future. It not only connects the two cities, but also builds a bridge between the two peoples, building friendship, enriching cultural life and creating new prospects for mutual development between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Hungary.
