Within the framework of the Kapan-Saint-Etienne sister city cooperation, doctors from the "Hygea" medical center were on a working visit to the city of Saint-Etienne, France, in particular to the Saint-Etienne University Hospital Center, from October 8-22. The purpose of the visit was to exchange best practices and knowledge.
It should be noted that the agreement on the cooperation between the "Hygea" medical center and the Saint-Etienne University Hospital Center was reached by the head of the community, Gevorg Parsyan, and the mayor, Gael Perdrion, back in March, during the visit of the Saint-Etienne delegation to Kapan.
According to the doctors, the visit was more than effective and, first of all, contributed to the improvement of professional skills. They emphasized that contacts with colleagues from Saint-Etienne and practical work provided an opportunity to get acquainted with innovative methods of healthcare management and provision of medical services. According to Kapan specialists, the visit also served as a basis for creating new connections, introducing joint services in the future, organizing professional mutual visits and ongoing training.
The delegation included Edgar Zakaryan, director of the “Hygia” medical center, Serob Smbatyan, head of the clinic, Serob Manukyan, interventional cardiologist, Ophelia Gareginyan, and nurse Margarita Grigoryan.
During the visit, the delegation members also met with the mayor of Saint-Etienne, Gael Perdriot, the municipal staff, and representatives of the Armenian community.
