On November 8, Meghri community celebrated Meghri City Day. The series of events dedicated to Meghri City Day kicked off at the Meghri Community Hall building with a welcoming of guests.

As part of the events dedicated to the City Day, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the memorial stone perpetuating the memory of those who died in the 44-day war, the Paramaz monument, and the graves of martyred Armenians.

The flower-laying ceremony, led by the head of the community, Khachatur Andreasyan, was attended by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, the Governor of the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Ghukasyan, honored guests, representatives of law enforcement and community structures, members of the community hall staff, and citizens.

The tribute to our heroes became the first step in the launch of Meghri’s festive events, uniting those present around the noble memory of the past and patriotism.

The celebrations concluded with a concert, bringing together a large number of residents and guests. Popular artists Sevak Amroyan and Arpin performed on stage.

The day ended with a magnificent fireworks display.
