Yerevan and Riga develop cooperation Yerevan

Yerevan First Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan, who is in the Latvian capital on a working visit, met with Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs. During the meeting, the parties touched upon the established ties between the two capitals and outlined a number of directions that can expand the existing cooperation.
Armen Pambukhchyan presented to the Riga Mayor the reforms and projects initiated in Yerevan, which are aimed at the development of urban infrastructure and the digitalization of services provided to citizens. As new directions of cooperation, the Yerevan First Deputy Mayor highlighted the exchange of experience in the field of garbage collection and sanitation, as well as the introduction of “smart city” solutions in the urban management system.
Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs highly appreciated Yerevan’s initiatives and emphasized that Riga is ready to cooperate both in the framework of the exchange of sectoral experience and the implementation of new joint programs.
