New Year's miracle in the border settlements of Goris: about 300 children received the gift of their dreams

29-12-2025

Thanks to the close and effective cooperation between the Goris Municipality and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, this year the New Year became truly magical for the children of all border settlements of the Goris community. Within the framework of the “Become Santa” charitable initiative, the most cherished dreams of around 300 children came true.

At the start of the initiative, children from all settlements entrusted their heartfelt wishes to Santa Claus through letters. Together with various partner organizations, the Goris Municipality and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia worked consistently to ensure that every letter received its answer. As a result, all children in the border settlements received exactly the gifts they had dreamed of.

The key to the success of this large-scale charitable program was the exceptional unity of the student community. Responding to the call of the Student Council of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, student organizations from twelve universities across Armenia joined the initiative, including students from:

National Polytechnic University of Armenia

Valery Brusov State University

Yerevan State University

Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi

Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography

Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan

French University in Armenia

Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts

European University of Armenia

Northern University of Yerevan

Russian-Armenian University

Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University

Students, lecturers, and staff of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia also made a valuable contribution to this noble cause, becoming Santas for the children of the border villages.
