2025 was a year of sporting victories and cultural development for the Nairi community Nairi

The year 2025 in the Nairi community was full of successive sports and cultural events.

🥇A group of athletes from the community delighted us all with victories and successes in the World and European Championships. Vadis Hambardzumyan became a bronze medalist at the World Combat Sambo Championship held in Indonesia, and at the World Combat Sambo Cup held in Armenia, Srbuhi Hovakimyan and Arpine Mnatsakanyan became bronze medalists in different weight categories. Recently, at the Kyokushin Karate European Cup held in Poland

A sportsman from the Nairi community, team captain Vardan Adamyan not only won the champion title, but was also recognized as the best athlete of the tournament. Edgar Melikyan became the third prize winner in the up to 40 kg weight category.

🥉Meri Misakyan took third place at the European Weightlifting Championship, Davit Simonyan (in the 92 kg weight category) became the bronze medalist at the European U-23 Boxing Championship, and Gagik Voskanyan became the bronze medalist at the Karate Deaflympics (Deaflympics) Games tournament.

🏅It is gratifying that we also have victories in team tournaments: the Zovuni football team became the leader in the U-10 championship, taking first place, and the Yeghvard Primary School No. 3 basketball team of grades 5-6 took third place in the “Schoolchildren’s Basketball League” sports games held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

🔸Concert series, exhibitions, anniversary and thematic matinees, new performances of theater groups, tours, participation and victory in national and international competitions.

🔸The year has been eventful for the extracurricular educational institutions, cultural centers, preschool educational institutions, and libraries operating in the Nairi community. New beautiful customs and traditions are being formed and rooted in the educational and cultural life of the community.

On May 9 of the past year, Victory Day, large-scale festive events were held in the renovated monument-complexes of Zovuni and Yeghvard. Such a large-scale cultural event on the territory of the improved, renovated monument-complexes was unprecedented.

🔸The results of the participation of our schoolchildren in school, regional, provincial, and republican Olympiads are also satisfactory.

Thanks to the energetic, dedicated work of knowledgeable and skilled educators, a higher bar has been set for young musicians, dance groups, and students of other fine arts departments, who have been able to win honorable places in a number of republican and international competitions and festivals.

✅The Nairi Municipality shows special attention and care towards gifted children, supporting their participation in various competitions.

🏆The “Nairi Municipality Transferable Cup” futsal and volleyball championship tournaments are very popular among the population, which are held in a hot, uncompromising competition.

🔸We expect that the coming 2026 will be more promising, and sports and cultural achievements will be more outstanding.
