Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the opening of a newly built educational complex in the Keti settlement of Akhuryan community Katie's Educational Complex

On April 22, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid a working visit to Shirak Province, where he got acquainted with the implemented programs.
The Prime Minister’s final stop was the newly built educational complex in the Keti settlement of the Akhuryan community. Nikol Pashinyan toured the complex, reviewing the completed work and the conditions created. The total cost of the project amounted to AMD 1,557,482,000. The complex is designed for 140 students, while the preschool is intended for 40 children.
At the educational complex, Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech, congratulating everyone on the opening. The Prime Minister noted that this is the second such educational complex opened in the country, designed to serve students from more than one settlement-in this case, the settlements of Keti, Pokrashen, and Hovuni.
The Akhuryan community and the Keti educational complex (currently still operating as Keti Secondary School) are included among the pilot communities and schools of the general education decentralization initiative. This initiative is implemented within the framework of the “Support to Decentralisation and Local Self-Government Reforms in Armenia (DeaLoG)” project by SALAR International, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, and with the support of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
The decentralisation pilot initiative is planned to be implemented in the newly built educational complexes of the Martiros, Keti, and Tatev settlements in the Vayk, Akhuryan, and Tatev communities.
