Recently, the Decentralization Portal has been receiving a growing number of emails from citizens.

People contact us with a wide range of inquiries. For example, a former teacher may ask us to help arrange a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, while a parent may seek information about school admission procedures.

We respond to all of these emails with courtesy and professionalism, even though the Portal has often been mistakenly selected as the recipient.

Naturally, we also receive inquiries related to the functions of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, such as questions concerning community amalgamation, local self-government, and other issues within the sector. We respond to these messages as well because we believe it is important that citizens receive the information they are looking for. We are convinced that meaningful decentralization is impossible without the active engagement and participation of citizens.

At the same time, we would like to clarify that the Decentralization Portal was established within the framework of SALAR International's "Support to Decentralisation and Local Self-Government Reforms in Armenia" (DeaLoG) Project. It serves as a national communication platform whose primary purpose is to facilitate dialogue on the Government of Armenia's decentralization policy among citizens, local communities, international organizations, and the central government.

Our experience, however, shows that many people still assume that the Portal is a department or subdivision of a government institution. This is, of course, not the case.

The Portal's homepage features a "Useful Links" section (https://decentralization.am/en/useful_links), where users can find links to the official websites of government institutions and many of our partner organizations. We encourage citizens to use this section to identify the institution responsible for addressing their specific questions or concerns.

We invite all followers of the Decentralization Portal to continue following our work with the same enthusiasm. Our team is committed to making the Portal as informative, practical, and engaging as possible, ensuring that it fulfills its mission as an information, educational, professional, and expert platform.

We would also like to encourage our colleagues at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia to pay particular attention to citizens' emails, requests, and complaints, especially those submitted electronically.

At the same time, within the scope of our mandate and capacities, we remain ready to support these processes whenever needed.

The Decentralization Portal stands ready to support all stakeholders involved in decentralization so that our joint efforts become more coordinated, targeted, and effective, ultimately serving the shared vision that unites us all.
